Primary
Beaconsfield Elite Primary combines the best features of both British and Nigerian Curricula. Teaching children from five to eleven years of age, and with the British National Curriculum outlining what must be taught at each level and giving attainment targets, our teachers track each individual pupil’s ability early on, and then plan their learning curve accordingly.
Beaconsfield Elite Primary delivers the curriculum at age marked categories known as ‘Key Stages’. The National Curriculum in the UK defines the minimum educational requirements for students of compulsory school age (5–16years). It is organized on the basis of five Key Stages, and as an Early Years and Primary School our educational programme is completed at the end of Keystage2. At the end of each Key Stage, students take assessments to determine the levels they have reached.
The key stages are as follows: Key Stage 0: Nursery and reception years (3-5yearsold) .Now included as part of the Early Years Foundation StageKey Stage 1: Years 1 to 2 (5-7 years old)Key Stage 2: Years 3 to 6 (7-11yearsold)Primary school pupils in our key stages follow a programme of education in the subjects below:French, English language, Mathematics, Science,Information and Communication Technology, Design Technology, History, Geography, Art and Design, Music, Physical Education, Chess, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Aptitude, Citizenship Education and Agricultural science.
